Fall Semester 2025
Nomination deadline: May 1, 2025 (April 15 for non-EU students)
Application deadline: May 31, 2025 (May 15 for non-EU students)
Pre-registration of courses: June 16 – August 26, 2025
Dormitory move-in: September 3, 2025
Orientation week: September 8 – 12, 2025
Classes (start with an even week): September 15, 2025 – December 12, 2025
Public and other holidays:
- September 28 – Day of the Czech Statehood
- October 28 – Foundation of the Independent Czechoslovak State
- November 17 – Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day
- December 24 – Christmas Eve
- December 25 – Christmas Day
- December 26 – Saint Stephen’s Day
- January 1 – Restoration Day of the Independent Czech State
Innovation Week: November 3 – 7, 2025
Exam period: December 15 – 19, 2025, January 5 – February 6, 2026*
* provided that the on site teaching delivery is in place throughout the whole Fall Semester 2025, all Exchange students will be given a chance to finish their exams of regular courses before Christmas, if agreed with the lecturer.
Should the student receive 50 – 59 points as the total for a course, they will be given an opportunity to retake a final exam for this course during the exam period. Consequently, if the students do not retake the final exam, they will be given a failing grade for the course. Exchange students are more than welcome to take exams also during the exam period upon previous agreement with the lecturer.
When it comes to the administrative part of the Exchange, the real date of the last exam (oral or written) will appear on the Confirmation of Study Period. Students coming in the framework of Erasmus+ programme should make sure that their total number of days at VSE exceeds 90 days, which is the required minimum of the programme.
VSE does not guarantee online exams.
