A Year at VSE: International Highlights of 2025

The year 2025 once again confirmed VSE’s position as one of the most international business schools in Central Europe. With an extensive global network, a vibrant campus atmosphere, and strong academic traditions, VSE continues to be a highly attractive destination for incoming Exchange students.

VSE maintained close cooperation with nearly 250 partner universities worldwide. A remarkable 1,215 VSE students went abroad for study stays or internships, demonstrating the high level of international engagement across the university. At the same time, VSE welcomed 763 incoming Exchange students, who contributed significantly to the diverse and multicultural environment of our campus.

Incoming Students at VSE: A Growing and Diverse Community

Every semester, VSE welcomes hundreds of Exchange students from all around the world — and 2025 was no exception. With more than 760 incoming students, our campus community was enriched by a wide variety of cultures, academic backgrounds, and perspectives.

Incoming students can rely on strong support from the university community:

  • Orientation Week, one of the key onboarding events at VSE
  • The long‑running Buddy Program, connecting local and international students
  • Assistance from the International Office throughout the semester
  • Free counselling services and psychological support in multiple languages
  • International events such as International & Study Abroad Fair, Erasmus Days, or photo / video contests and exhibitions of mobility experiences

Together, these elements help incoming students settle into academic life in Prague, meet new friends, and feel at home on campus.

Academic Opportunities: Broad Course Offerings

In 2025, VSE offered 360 courses taught in foreign languages, covering business, management, economics, international relations, information systems, statistics, finance and many interdisciplinary topics. This academic breadth ensures that incoming students can build a study plan suited to their degree requirements while exploring new fields.

Incoming students may also enrol in the classes of the Visiting Professors, which brought 70 specialized courses taught by distinguished academics from prestigious universities worldwide.

Thanks to this extensive offer, students can benefit from a rich academic environment as well as the opportunity to learn in mixed international classrooms.

BIP Programmes at VSE: Attractive Topics for International Students

In addition to semester‑long exchanges, VSE also offers Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) — short, dynamic courses combining online preparation with several days of intensive on‑site teaching.

In 2025, VSE organised 7 BIPs across the faculties and the International Office. Altogether, these programmes brought more than 170 participants from across Europe and beyond to our campus.

The BIPs covered attractive and contemporary themes such as family businesses, data analytics, entrepreneurship in Central Europe, design anthropology, and international taxation.

Most programmes also included company visits, excursions to institutions, or on‑site workshops, giving international participants the chance to see the Czech professional environment in practice and connect classroom learning with real‑world experience.

Our Commitment to Ukraine and International Solidarity

VSE continued its long‑term support for students and partner institutions from Ukraine throughout 2025. The university provides ongoing assistance through scholarships, administrative support, Czech language courses, and integration services.

In 2025, VSE established a new partnership with Odessa National Economic University and welcomed the first ten students for a semester stay in a safe and supportive environment. This cooperation also opens possibilities for future joint activities, mobility opportunities and academic collaboration.

Looking Forward to Welcoming You to VSE

We would like to thank all partner universities for their cooperation and trust. The strong international community at VSE is built on long‑standing partnerships and the enthusiasm of students and staff who contribute to it every day.

We look forward to welcoming new Exchange students and continuing our collaboration in the years to come.

See you in Prague!
