Orientation Week Fall 2024

Usually, Orientation Week (Oweek for short) is organized for all incoming students one week prior to the beginning of each semester. Furthermore, before your arrival in Prague, important and practical information will be relayed to you through online sessions via MS Teams. Our guide on how to download MS Teams can be found here.

Orientation Week for Fall Semester 2024 will take place from September 9 – 13, 2024. The programme will consist of:

1) Face-to-face activities organized by the ESN VSE Prague – details about the activities are shared by the ESN VSE Prague through their communication channels.

2) Activities organized by the VSE International Office:

Introduction to Library Services – Online	September 10 11:00 – 11:30 CEST	What you should know about the VSE library, its services, online book ordering, e-resources, reservation of study rooms.	Link to join the meeting is coming soon.
Intercultural Competences	September 10 14:30 – 16:00 CEST	Basic need-to-knows for living in an international environment.	Limited spots, please register here. The lecture will take place at RB212.
History of the Czech Lands	September 10 16:15 – 17:45 CEST	Learn the most important facts about the Czech History.	The lecture will take place at RB101.
Welcome Ceremony	September 10 18:00 CEST	Official welcome and a taste of Czech culture.	The ceremony will take place at Vencovského Aula.
Culture Shock	September 12 12:45 – 14:15 CEST	Culture shock, its phases, and how to survive.	The lecture will take place at RB101.
Czech Language Crash Course	September 12 14:30 – 16:00 CEST	Learn some basics of the Czech language.	The lecture will take place at Likešova Aula.
Team Game	September 13 10:00 – 13:00 CEST	Join this activity to discover the campus, have fun and meet new friends.	The activity will start and end in RB101.

*By attending the events organized by VSE, each participant declares their consent to the use of the photographs, audio recordings, and film footage for VSE marketing purposes.
