Orientation Week Fall 2024

Usually, Orientation Week (Oweek for short) is organized for all incoming students one week prior to the beginning of each semester. Furthermore, before your arrival in Prague, important and practical information will be relayed to you through online sessions via MS Teams. Our guide on how to download MS Teams can be found here.

Orientation Week for Fall Semester 2024 will take place from September 9 – 13, 2024. The programme will consist of:

1) Face-to-face activities organized by the ESN VSE Prague – details about the activities are shared by the ESN VSE Prague through their communication channels.

2) Activities organized by the VSE International Office:

Introduction to Library Services – Online	September 10 11:00 – 11:30 CEST	What you should know about the VSE library, its services, online book ordering, e-resources, reservation of study rooms.	The recording of the meeting can be found here.
Intercultural Competences	September 10 14:30 – 16:00	Basic need-to-knows for living in an international environment.	Limited spots, please register here. The lecture will take place at RB212.
History of the Czech Lands	September 10 16:15 – 17:45	Learn the most important facts about the Czech History.	The lecture will take place at RB101.
Welcome Ceremony	September 10 18:00	Official welcome and a taste of Czech culture.	The ceremony will take place at Vencovského Aula.
Culture Shock	September 12 12:45 – 14:15 or 14:30 – 16:00	Culture shock, its phases, and how to survive.	The lecture will take place at RB101.
Czech Language Crash Course	September 12 12:45 – 14:15 or 14:30 – 16:00	Learn some basics of the Czech language.	The lecture will take place at Likešova Aula.
ChillOUT Zone	September 12 12:00 – 17:00	Area to relax, play different games and enjoy free refreshment.	Due to whather venue changed to 3rd floor of Italská building.
Team Game	September 13 10:00 – 13:00	Join this activity to discover the campus, have fun and meet new friends.	The activity will start and end in RB101.
